Ostensibly, there will be no new Sherlock episodes due to the heavy schedule of its two leads: Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Moriarty has literally gotten inside Sherlock's head. The Abominable Bride is the New Years Special for Sherlock, the wildly popular Sherlock Holmes adaptation from the BBC.Its also the only Sherlock episode this year, as the next episode will air in 2017. Does Moriarty know something Sherlock doesn't? Does Moriarty know how the woman did it? Did Sherlock and Moriarty both fake their own deaths, and Sherlock was simply too slow to see Moriarty's trick?

Sherlock faked his own death on that same day with The Fall. I’d hoped to find some frames with the Peterson pipe to capture for the blog, but there just wasn’t anything that stood out. Sherlock knows Moriarty can't do that, but. I spent last night watching the much-anticipated period episode of BBC’s Sherlock, The Abominable Bride, followed by all its bonus materials. Watson find themselves in 1890s London in this Christmas special. With Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Una Stubbs, Rupert Graves. Then Moriarty shot himself in the head, and now apparently rose from the grave. The Abominable Bride: Directed by Douglas Mackinnon.

He knows that's impossible, but he doesn't have an answer for how she did it. You can’t deny the thrill of watching Sherlock in the throes of deduction, his mind reeling with tiny details, the bread crumbs left behind by the mystery. In the back of his mind, Sherlock was aware of one unsolved case where a woman shot herself in the head and conclusively died (she got an autopsy and everything), and yet she conclusively rose from the grave to kill someone (personally ID'd by her husband, with information only she would know), before returning to her grave (100% dead), and popping up occasionally to kill others (which could be dismissed as copycat crimes, if only the original crime didn't defy the laws of nature).
